Sounds like a lot of time. It was just $ 20. If you want though, i t’s wire wrapped in mat brown tape, s crewed into the base. Can’t tell from 4 feet away.

Oh, I’d just cut a piece from one of the trees in the backyard and fasten it too some scrap wood. Piece of cake. Got plenty of ornaments; not sure about the blanket though. I’d probably just find a light blue sweatshirt at the local thrift store, turn it inside out, and wrap it around the base in a way that would disguise the fact that it was a sweater.

As much as I don’t like spending $60 on a tree, last year I bought one of those little ones already mounted in a stand. I think it was $30. Still too much horseshit for me. The needles ....
